Black Couples in Horror: The Demon & Anita Remix

The joy of life is often discovering the products of creativity from familiar sources. Yes, fan produced works is why I studied fandom/fan culture so extensively in graduate school. They invite us to be entertained and challenge perceptions of what a fan actually is by shifting the narrative to intelligent, innovative, and highly creative individuals who offer that smile needed during our mundane moments in life.
Friday the 13th Part 5: A New Beginning's bonus points are popularly given to the coolest couple in the franchise's history, Anita (Jere Fields) and Demon (Miguel Nunez, Jr.)!

Their literal swan song was a lovely little serenade only exchanged between lovers. Even while one lets out a load in an awfully suspect outhouse while the other taunts them for their bodily functions from the outside. It makes the case for being a sweet and embarrassing way to meet one's fate. There's no compromising with "Jason" in any manner. The coolest couple turns into the most sympathetic in the film besides Gramps. Especially Demon because from his position, there was no escape.

The fun, melody mash up below was brought to my attention by one epic podcast episode of The Skeleton Crew where the gang debates the best in the Halloween and Friday the 13th franchises. I kinda guarantee this song will stay stuck in your head for the rest of the day. And if you're a horror fan who happens to be single, singing this out loud may find you your soulmate!
